Who we are

Glossa Flashcards is operated by Chiunhau You, an individual based in Finland. Contact: chiunhau.helsinki@gmail.com

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

  • License key — generated at purchase, stored to validate your subscription and track usage.
  • Usage count — number of flashcards generated via the Pro proxy, used to enforce the weekly quota.
  • Purchase data — name and email provided at checkout, handled by LemonSqueezy. We receive only the license key and subscription status via webhook.

What we do not collect

We do not collect the text you select, the flashcards you generate, or any data from your Obsidian vault. If you use your own Gemini API key (free tier), your requests go directly to Google — we never see them.

How data is used

License and usage data is used solely to validate your subscription and enforce the weekly card limit. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

Data storage

License and usage data is stored in a Turso (LibSQL) database hosted in the EU. Data is retained for as long as your subscription is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Third-party services

  • LemonSqueezy — payment processing and license management. Their privacy policy applies to checkout.
  • Google Gemini — AI generation. Pro users' source text is sent to Gemini via our backend. Google's privacy policy applies.
  • Vercel — hosting. Standard server logs (IP, request path) may be retained per Vercel's policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us at chiunhau.helsinki@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new date.
